MANI MAHESH YATRA TREK

Manimahesh Yatra Trek - The Manimahesh Kailash Trek upraises from Bharmour Hadsar Kuti route that is mostly frequented by pilgrimage and trekkers. this route is easier. Located 35 km from Bharmour subdivision of the chamba district in the Pir Panjal range of Himacal.

The Manimahesh Kailash Peak, which is also known as Chamba Kailash, located approximately 26 kilometers from Bharmour in the Budhil valley. The pristine water of the Manimahesh Lake that is sourced out from the serpentine glacier of the Chamba Kailash Peak forms a tributary of River Bidhil.

The lake is located at an elevation of 4,080 metres (13,390 ft), quite close to Manimahesh Kailash Peak in the PirPanjal Range of the Himalaya.

The yatra held from Janamastmi to Radhastami. As per local legends, the lake was created by Lord Shiva after he married Goddess Parvati. It is believed that on this occasion, both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati gets the bath in the Lake.

Day 01

Arrive Bharmour

On arrival In Bharmour Check into hotel. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 02

Bharmour – Bharmani Mata Temple – Bharmour (6 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, Visit Bharmani Temple, This temple is positioned on the crest and is about 3 kilometers trekking from Bharmour. In the evening we will return to Bharmour and then check into hotel for night stay.

Day 03

Bharmour – Hadsar – Kugti(6 kms Trek)

After breakfast, drive to Hadsar and then Dhanaul. From Dhanual, we will embark on the famous Manimahesh Parikrama trek. After moving for about 2 to 3 hours alongside the stunning Bhujla stream, you will reach at an unexplored and striking Village Kugti. Famous as the Bharmour's last village, you can relax enjoy the rest of the day in the camp. Over Night stay at Camp.

Day 04

Kugti – Kartik Temple - (8 Kms Trek

After breakfast, start trekking for Kartik temple, The temple has been built in the memory of the son of the Lord Shiva 'Kartik'. After we reach the Kartik temple you can glimpse the exquisite beauty of fabulous surroundings. After having lunch we will move to another stunning camp site located at Dalotu. After we reach at the camp site check into the camp and enjoy the left day relaxing in serene surrounds. Over Night stay at Camp.

Day 05

Dalotu – Base Camp (10 Kms Trek)

After breakfast,we will move ahead through the thick forests, cross a tiny stream over a bridge made up of wood, then ascend for half hour nearby stream's bank. Enjoy the nature upon arrival at Base camp. Relax the rest day. Over Night stay at Camp.

Day 06

Base Camp – Chobu Pass – Kamal Kund – Manimahesh (12 Kms Trek)

After breakfast, start trekking of Manimahesh Lake is a 12-kilometre trek. We will cross the pass and will reach the destination Kamal Kund is a beautiful quaint lake which is dedicated to the Lord Shiva. Later move to Manimahesh Lake. A sacred dip will be taken in lake and the whole day would be spent nearby Manimahesh camp site. Over Night stay at Camp.

Day 07

Manimahesh – Gaurikund – Dhancho –Bharmour (14 Kms Trek)

After Breakfast, start trekking to Gourikund. After explore the Gourikund. Will start trek to Dhancho. We can enjoy the wonderful waterfall have a rest for getting ready for the Hadsar trek. Later drive toBahrmour. Upon arrival check in at Hotel. Over Night stay at Hotel.

Bharmour - Chamba – Pathankot (190 kms)

After breakfast. Drop at Pathankot railway Station.

Clothes:

  • Two warm layers: It can get pretty cold at the top during the evening so carry two warm layers.
  • Two trek pants: One pair of pants should suffice for this trek. But you can carry one spare pair in case the first one gets wet. Wear one pair and carry one pair. 
  • Two collared t-shirts: Carry light, full sleeved t-shirts that prevent sun burns on the neck and arms. Again, wear one and carry one spare.
  • Thermals (Optional): Those who are more susceptible to cold can carry thermals to wear at night.

Advisory.

  • The weather Condition are beyond the operator's control, and instruction related to operation of tour will be conveyed day of operation would be binding own client
  • Do carry your quilt/blanket as well for convenience.
  • Water/Juices are charged on site so please do carry them, if possible
  • Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be in part of the deal
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.
  • The trekkers must abide by the advice and instructions of the trek leaders.
  • Overnight stay will be provided around 2km below the Triund top due to restriction from Authorities.
  • Do not leave any waste behind. Travel responsibly and bring back all plastic with you in your backpack.
  • Children below age of 10 years are not recommended for this trek.
  • The management reserves all the right to modify the trek during any emergencies or natural calamities.

Things To Carry

  • Trekking shoes: You will need trekking shoes with good grip. slippers and extra pair of socks
  • Suncap: The sun is harsh in the mountains, and you will especially need them if you are trekking in late morning or afternoon
  • Toiletries: Sunscreen, moisturiser, light towel, lip balm, toilet paper, toothbrush, toothpaste 
  • Plastic covers: While packing, use plastic bags to compartmentalise things and carry few extra plastic bags for wet clothes.
  • Medical kit: Carry band aid, moov, betadine or some other antiseptic cream, ORS,as well as basic medicines such as crocin, disprin, digene etc.
  • Water bottles, trendy backpack and energy bars/snacks
  • A pair of sunglasses and camera
  • Flash light (with spare batteries)
  • Insect repellent and emergency medical kit
