It was an exhausting experience to ride Shimla – Chandigarh through rough and curvy roads. The journey (113 km) between these two cities was typically condemned 3 hours by car, over 4 hours by bus and over 5 hours by train however currently himachal pradesh government launched heli taxi service on Monday from Shimla to Chandigarh.
Mr. Jairam Thakur (Chief Minister – Himachal Pradesh ) flagged off the heli taxi service from the Jubbarhatti Airport Shimla to Chandigarh close to hill station. The journey can take hardly just twenty minutes between the cities.

Heli Taxi Service Flight Schedule:
- Departure from Jubbarhatti Airport Shimla at 8 am and arrival at Chandigarh Airport at 8:20 am.
- Departure from Chandigarh Airport, at 9 am and arrival at Jubbarhatti Airport Shimla at 9:20 am.
Luggage allowed per passenger: 10 kg (Extra luggage will be chargeable).
Minimum price: Rs 2,999/- Per Person.
Service Availability: The service to be available on every Monday and Friday. It may be increased depending on response to the services.
